       DEEPEST SECRET:
       → During his time serving in VEIL, he was sent on a mission during the height of the 'Ishvallan Conflict'. During this mission he was to aid some scientists doing research on a very rare and dangerous type of Alchemy. He was not informed what he would be doing, only that he would be paid double commission for doing so, which was good enough for him. He was sent into a room with a large, complex transmutation circle drawn on the floor, with smaller ones on the walls and ceiling. When he was ordered to activate it, he watched as the transmutation turned red as the floor crumbled away to reveal several dozen Ishvallan prisoners in a cage beneath him. They died. As did the scientists who rushed in to see what was happening. The only person who didn't die was Oliver, but he paid his fee. His right arm slowly dissolved as he found himself standing at a black gate in a vast white expanse. He was then pulled into the gate where he was shown the Truth of Alchemy. 

At the present, if anyone asks what happened to his arm, or how he is able to transmute without a circle, he says he lost it during the war and that he doesn't know. But the latter couldn't be farther from.... the Truth.





        SPECIALTIES:  
      → “Body Enhancement” (身體增強)
The school of the Báiyángzuò Clan is the school of “Body Enhancement”. Under this school, practitioners have the ability to be able to modify and enhance their body’s physical structure in order to increase physical prowess. Such enhancements are classed as ‘permanent’ enhancements, unable to be removed unless the creator wills it, and has actually created a counter-Alkahestry for such an event. For this reason, those who use “Body Enhancement” Alkahestry are usually prepared for the events that come about as a result of such modifications. They are the current leaders of Xing’s monarchy.
The current Master of “Body Enhancement” is Zhao Báiyángzuò

“Range Enhancement” (範圍增強)
Unlike the rest of the clans, the Ungdaehan keep to themselves. For this reason, they have both a coveted and rare school of Alkahestry that is sporadically taught to outsiders. The “Range Enhancement” school is a style of Alkahestry that combines usage with Alchemy, in order to increase the effective range of Alchemic usage. By connecting themselves directly into the Dragon’s Pulse, they are able to temporarily convert a small part of it into an extension of their body and mind. Pre-designating a point, they can then forge a transmutation circle. Using the Dragon’s Pulse as a line of sorts, they then send small packets of Alchemic Energy through this connection, transferring it into the circle and activating the Alchemy. Of course, all usual Alchemic limitations apply, and only a certain range can be manipulated. As well as this, the user needs to be connected to the earth, unmoving and be trying to manipulate something connected to the earth as well. It also takes a lot more energy to activate an Alchemic reaction of the same scale. Out of all of the schools of Alkahestry, “Range Enhancement” has the least amount of variability, instead taking on the variability of Alchemy to differ between students.
The current Master of “Range Enhancement” is Ungdaehan Man-Shik.

Water Alchemy – This specialization concentrates on everything a person can do with the simple H2O molecule. 

Lightning Alchemy -- This specialization allows the user to control the collisions of molecules to create a charge, and then shape that charge into lightning.

      → Known as being one of the few, if not the ONLY user(s) of Lightning based alchemy.

     → On the day he went to take on the State Alchemist Qualification for his third and what would be his final attempt, Oliver never felt more prepared. He had decided he would go in with a mindset to make an impression that day, and that’s exactly what he did. When he entered, he looked to the front of the room to see the Führer himself was sitting in on his attempt, probably because of the fact he had already tried twice, so the man got curious. He started by quickly drawing three circles, touching the ground to form three soldier replicas of what he had seen Ishvallan insurgents looked like. Next came the fun part. He held up his hand, revealing a circle predrawn on his palm, he used this to transmute the molecules in the air into a thunderstorm indoors. It was already quite the show, but when he closed the first on his raised right hand, it revealed yet another circle on the back of his hand that called down a bolt of lightning that was controlled to surround his fist. He then used Alkahestry to move faster than most people could move ever without extensive physical training. Using his lightning coated fist, he punched the first of the trio of dummy’s causing a bright explosion, resulting in all three being destroyed. This is how he earned his name, the Flash Alchemist, from his flashy display of the rare lightning alchemy.
